Revisionary – Preview
Revisionary [Amazon | B&N | Indiebound], the fourth and final Magic ex Libris book, comes out on February 2, 2016. I finished up the final page proofs at the end of last week, which means I can officially share a preview of the first chapter.
If you haven’t read the other books, there will be spoilers. You have been warned…
I’ll be sad to move on from Isaac, Lena, Smudge, Nidhi, and the rest, but having read the book again over the past week or two, I’m very happy with how everything wraps up. And I should have some news to share relatively soon about what I’ll be doing next.
In the meantime, thanks to everyone who’s bought and borrowed and read and reviewed and shared and generally just enjoyed and supported these books. I hope you enjoy this installment.

I love everything about this announcement except the word “final” :-).

As tempted as I am, holding off on reading that first chapter, because it’ll still be a couple of months until I can read the rest of the book, and that’d just kill me. (Not really, but it would seriously amp up my “I wanna read it NOW” antsy-ness.)
I’ve been listening to the audiobooks of the series this past week actually; about a quarter of the way through Unbound at the moment. Sad that Revisionary is going to be the last book in the series, but totally excited to read it.

Proof-Correction (if you’re still taking them): Top of page 8 in the pdf: “to defend of this”
“Ms. Pallas, why are the Porters unwilling to defend of this
country?” asked another reporter.

Thanks! I missed that one, but it looks like DAW already caught and fixed it in the page proofs 🙂

Thank you for looking at the aftermath of the battle. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wondered what happened on the day after “Independence Day”, or after the Superman / Doomsday battle, or after any of the other epic battles of movies, comics and science fiction. At least in one case, now, we’ll find out.

We rarely seem to see the effects and aftermath of this stuff. It’s one of the things I loved about Iron Man 3, the way they acknowledged the events of Avengers would have some psychological impact on Tony Stark. I could criticize some of the choices in how they portrayed it, but the fact that they went there at all was refreshing.
