Many years ago, I worked at the Kalamazoo Nature Center. In the spring, after the hundreds of field trip kids left for the day, a forage group of a crow, a raccoon, and a squirrel would appear on the entrance bridge every day to go through all the food wrapper trash the kids left from their lunches. Inter-species cooperation is more common than we realize. And who knew that badger butts would be even cuter than corgi butts?
I’m finishing up Terminal Uprising. It’s been a joy to read every evening to escape the day’s political news. Thank you very much for writing it.
