Trailer Roundup
It’s movie trailer season!
1. Thor: Ragnarok – I love the banter between Thor and Hulk/Banner. Everything I’ve seen about this movie looks like fun.
2. Star Trek: Discovery – I’m intrigued enough to want to see more, and it will be nice to have some new television-style Star Trek. We don’t have CBS All Access, but I’m sure it will be available on Blu-ray eventually.
3. Ready Player One – I know a lot of people loved this one, but for some reason, the book just didn’t work for me, and the trailer seems to be following suit. The trailer looks pretty, but it doesn’t grab me.
4. Justice League – I don’t know. DC’s cinematic universe has let me down again and again…but then they did Wonder Woman, and I started to hope again. This looks like it could be fun. Or it could be a mess. I’m withholding judgement for the moment.
Which ones, if any, are you looking forward to?

I am so very much looking forward to Thor. ^_^ I understand why people are comparing it to the “Guardians” movies, but I think it looks more like they’ve gone full Kirby and are bringing in old-school Marvel cosmic stuff, and I like that they’re doing something different with Thor. Plus, Cate Blanchett looks like she’s having a ridiculously good time playing Hela.

Discovery – no idea when (or where) it will show up over here I the UK but I’m interested to see it
Thor – so very much looking forward to this
Of the other two, I’ll likely see the DC film at some stage, even if all I do is fast forward to the bits with Wonderwoman in. Not even that for Ready Player One

I’m super down for Thor : Ragnarok, have mixed feeling about Discovery, have as little interest in Ready Player One the Movie as I do the book, and will wait for a friend I trust to give me her husband’s feedback on JL.

I’ll give Discovery a go. Not on the list but I’m *super* looking forward to A Wrinkle In Time.

I’m disappointed that Michelle Yeoh doesn’t have any lines in this trailer – I remember she did in the teaser? It makes me wonder if the studio is pushing her back a little because people complained about her accent 🙁

Seriously looking froward to Thor. I may watch Trek when it comes out to rent. I may see JL, but I’m not going to put it on my to-do list. I can’t really get into Ready Player. I don’t know why, but it feels like someone took my childhood and made it one of those creepy roadside attractions people get conned into on the way up north for family vacations.
