Three Weeks to Unbound
It’s three weeks until Unbound [Amazon | B&N | Indiebound] comes out. This is the time I’d normally switch into higher gear with giveaways and other promotional stuff.
Unfortunately, my son’s cold is kicking my butt, and holiday preparation is eating up the remaining energy. So instead, I leave you with what could be considered a tantalizing hint, a piece of the research I did while writing the book, a glimpse into the inner workings of the culmination of three books!!!
Or maybe it’s just a random bit of letters and doodling I’m posting because I’m too brain-fuzzed to write a real blog post. Who knows?
This served as the model for one of the messages Isaac has to decipher. All I’ll tell you about it is that it’s from 983 A.D.

Yay! (That Anya is loving it, I mean — not that Holmelund has to wait…)

Hmm…looks like you’re not doing a signing until the following week, so I have to decide if I can wait a whole extra week or if I want to drive down to Schuler’s twice in one week. Decisions, decisions 🙂

Hypothetically speaking, you could always buy the ebook from the comfort of your home, read it, and then make a single trip to Schuler’s for the print book.
Just trying to help! 😉

Been waiting months for the book, love your covers, love this cover. But, what happened to Isaac? He’s apparently cut and dyed darker his hair, let his eyebrows go, got a nose job, plumbed his lips with collagen, and seriously pumped up the physique. I get that it was probably a different model, but couldn’t the artist sort of look at the first one as a guide? It was a bit disconcerting. At first, I thought it was another character on the cover altogether till I saw Smudge on the shoulder. But again, it’s a totally cool cover. (Maybe even closer to what Isaac looks like; I don’t know; I picture him somewhere in between.) And I’m psyched that the book is coming out.

I doesn’t necessarily has to wait. If some kick ass author send me an ARC or a review copy I could read it before its release 😉

Yeah, apparently the model from the first book was no longer available. I just say that Isaac’s in a grimmer place in this book, so he’s adjusted his appearance to reflect that…

There’s only 3 weeks? I guess I know where my Amazon gift card is going. Can’t wait!
Hope your little guy is better soon.

Thanks. I think he’s mostly kicked the cold, but the asthma drags everything out.

Well he can pull a lot of things out from books. 🙂 Again, the cover looks terrific and I can’t wait to get it.
