Book Giveaway: Goblins or Libriomancer
About two weeks ago, I received my author copies of the Science Fiction Book Club editions of Libriomancer and The Legend of Jig Dragonslayer.
This makes me happy for lots of reasons. Many of the books on my shelves came from the SFBC, back when I was younger and there was no way I could afford full-priced hardcovers. And then I found the SFBC. Five free books at sign-up? Reduced-price omnibus editions? Sweet! This is how I first discovered authors like Robert Asprin, Fred Saberhagan, Anne McCaffrey, Ursula LeGuin, even Asimov and his Foundation Trilogy.
So I thought it would be appropriate to celebrate this milestone, my first books to make it into the club, with a giveaway. And since the stress-o-meter has been running rather high lately, I’m gonna go with something happy and hopefully simple for this one.
All you have to do is leave a comment and tell me about one of the best things that happened to you in 2012.
I’ll pick one commenter at random next week and send them an autographed copy of the SFBC edition of either Libriomancer or The Legend of Jig Dragonslayer. Their choice.
This isn’t a U.S.-only contest, so anyone can enter.

One of my Best Things of 2012 was finding a person who could explain business & money to me in my language, without making me feel small, stupid, or incompetent, so that I could start to fly with my business. :>
(Among the many benefits of this will be the monies to buy those of your books that I am missing and to start going to conventions again. :> Win-win-win – we like this! π :>)
Hope the stresses calm down soonest!!! π :>

In 2012, I celebrated 15 years of marriage to my best friend with a trip to Hawaii! That’s technically 2 things, I know, but they were both pretty awesome. I hadn’t been to Hawaii before, and it was so much fun to travel with just the 2 of us while my mom watched the kids for us. I am also a huge fan of SFBC – it feels so grown-up to have hardback books on my shelves at last! π

I just bought and am reading (almost finished in fact) Jig the Goblin. The book is great fun, I am enjoying it immensely. I wish I had know Jig the Dragonslayer included this novel, but it is definitely worth getting Jig the Dragonslayer in addition to the first book. Thanks Mr. Scalzi for your links to Mr. Hines, he is an excellent find.

October 3, 2012 was my 25th Wedding anniversary. How in the world can that be? I still feel like the just-turned 19 year old that I was when I met my Hubby. We met at the Kissing Booth at the Renaissance Pleasure fair in Agoura in 1982 – we both worked there! 30 years and two kids later and he still makes me laugh, he still makes me shiver and he still kisses like a Pro!
