Writing Update
As folks know, I just landed a two-book deal. On top of this, I’ve got two short stories to write, and I’ve got my revision notes from my editor on Snow Queen’s Shadow. So how is the writing going? Here’s a peek into Jim’s brain…
STUPID STORY! If you don’t stop screwing around and give me an actual plot, I’m going to punch you so hard your font goes sans serif! I’ll set your clock back to pain o’clock! Keep it up, and I’m carving roast plotbunny for Thanksgiving dinner. That’s right, welcome to McAsskicking — would you like to supersize your order?
Thus endeth the writing update.

Some days you eat the bear. Other days, the bear picks you up, turns you upside down, shakes you silly, and empties your head of all rational thought. Looks like it is one of those other days. Have a hot beverage. It will get better soon. I have faith in you!! 🙂

I’m used to less-than-great writing days, but this story has been mocking me for a week and a half now. I don’t have time to go another nine rounds with this sucker.
And thank you 🙂

Write the notes or a synopsis down, Jim, and get to it when you can! Maybe, by then, a plot would have started to appear and things’ll fall into place. If you’re like me, you’ll have this idea and if you don’t write it down quick enough it evaporates.
Really looking forward to SQS now, and to stave off the excitement I (finally) ordered the first Goblin book 😀

Forget if I said this or not. Two book deal?! w00t!
Story, I’ve recently restocked my cans of WhoopAss™, don’t make me go find my can opener. I wonder when they’ll start shipping in pull-tab cans like Campbell’s soup?

LOL, the first thing that popped into my mind was the quote from The Princess Bride:
“Tyrone, you know how much I love watching you work, but I’ve got my country’s 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I’m swamped.”
To which we can only reply: “Get some rest. If you haven’t got your health, then you haven’t got anything.”
