Hey — Free Books!
As people may or may not know, every time someone clicks on one of my Amazon links to buy a book (or anything else from Amazon), I get a small percentage back as Amazon gift credit. This is why I usually list book titles like so: The Mermaid’s Madness [Amazon | Mysterious Galaxy].
For a while now, I’ve used that credit to buy and give away books. Thanks to everyone who’s clicked on those links over the past month or two, it’s time to hand out some more.
This time, I’m going to offer three signed copies of either Goblin Quest and The Stepsister Scheme. If you’ve been thinking about trying one of my series but haven’t felt like shelling out $8, here’s your chance. Or, if you already own the books but want an autographed copy, that’s okay too! (But if you win a book you already own, I’d ask that you give your old copy to someone else who might appreciate it.)
To enter, just comment on this entry stating which of the two books you’d prefer and why. Are you Team Goblin or Team Princess? One entry per person, and anonymous commenters, please make sure I have some way to reach you.
I’ll pick three winners either over the weekend or early next week.

I would love a copy of Goblin Quest for several reasons:
a) I have an unhealthy and unsatisfied interest in goblins,
b) Team Goblin sounds way cooler than Team Princess,
c) I’m taking part in the 2010 100+ reading challenge and need new books to read & review;
d) I like winning things. Winning is nice.
e) I’m nice enough to make a list of reasons.
f) I’ve run out of reasons, but thought 6 was a nice number.
Not convinced? I can come up with more!

I would love to read Goblin Quest because I’ve been honestly meaning to buy it for myself for a while. I read The Stepsister Scheme and I LOVE IT. The book is awesome, everyone should check it out.. seriously. Anyhow, now I’d like to check out your Goblin series. I have issues with going to a book store.. I buy whatever I find that’s new by a new writer b/c I’ll never remember them later, so that’s why I put off buying other books like yours.

Stepsister.
Because I already have Goblin Quest

Goblin Quest for two reasons:
1) I already have a signed copy of Stepsister Scheme (Thank you Schulers!)
2) The copy of Goblin Quest that I have is borrowed from a friend and should have been returned far longer ago than I care to admit.

ooh, i’d love to try a copy of Goblin Quest. I’ve loved the first two Princess books so much i’ve been thinking of trying the Goblin series but haven’t quite made it yet.
Also, I will review it, if that helps? *looks hopeful*

Goblin Quest.
I’ve read Stepsister scheme (need to pick up the second in that series) and loved it. Would like to give Goblin Quest a read to see if it’s just as good (maybe better?).

I’d like a copy of Goblin Quest. Always interested in seeing a reversal of the normal races in fantasy lit.

I would love to win Goblin Quest. Read Stepsister and loved it, so having a chance to read the other would be fun!

I have to admit I’d be a member of team Princess on this one. Love both Stepsister and Mermaid, and would love a chance to have an autographed copy! Thanks for the chance!

Goblin Quest, because…
(a) I already own Stepsister Scheme, and you signed it at Icon (yay!)
and
(b) I have accidentally borrowed the third goblin book and bought the second, but have never actually read them because I keep inadvertently not buying the first.

I’d choose Stepsisters. Only because I have yet to read that book.

I would really like a copy of either one. I read a little of Goblin Quest and found it amusing. Then my husband bought me a copy of the Mermaid’s Madness and I put down a book that I was reading to start reading it and am loving it!

I am already a member of Team Goblin, so it seems I should aim for Team Princess. You know: infiltrate the enemy’s camp, get to know their secrets… stuff like that. So I would like to win The Stepsister Scheme.
Then when our worgs attack, we can go straight for the necks of…
I mean…
“Castles. Pretty.”

Team Princess!
Enjoyed Goblin Quest & getting rest of the series with my Christmas money, but I’d love an autographed copy of The Stepsister Scheme because:
1. Stories that can balance good humor with believable drama are hard as hell to find these days.
2. Stories fitting into #1 that also feature friendships between well drawn, engaging female protagonists are even harder to find.
3. Talia rocks. Period.

Would like either, but if I had to pick one to start with.. The Stepsister Scheme..
Why? .. I’ve read quite a few reviews, and read exerpt but haven’t been able to get the book yet. I’m hoping to eventually try both series, and this would get me there sooner rather than later.
Thanks for giving everyone a chance.

I need The Stepsister Scheme because:
1) My silly brother-in-law ignored my advice and only gifted me The Mermaid’s Madness
and
2) Reading them out of order is just plain insanity. Insanity I say.
and
3) Well, it’s mostly just two points, but I thought I needed a third reason.

My vote is for Goblin Quest for 2 reasons:
1) I have hear many positive comments about this book from both writers and fans.
2) It is nice to see someone bring an undervalued race into the fantasy spotlight. You’re doing for Goblins what Stan Nicholls did for Orcs. I’m sure the Goblins thank you. 😉

Ugh, that should have been ‘heard’ not ‘hear’ (shaking hung head in shame and embarrassment).

I’d have to say either one since I just read about you in the RAM Quarterly. 🙂 I’m always on the lookout for a great book!

I vote for The Stepsister Scheme. Sure, I already own it –but I want to share it without stressing over the condition of the book upon its return. Plus, I’ll still be going out there to buy the Goblin Quest books. Kinda win-win. Then again, I already won. I got to read a fantastic pair of adventures for a fantastic trio of heroines.
And what’s a better gift than three princesses?
