Baen Publishes Ebooks of Janet Kagan’s Work
Back in March, I posted about Janet Kagan’s work, which I love. Unfortunately, most of it was out of print.
Well, Baen Books has released her work in electronic form, which is awesome! They even put together a collection of her shorter work!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go buy some ebooks!

O_o I want the collected Kagan! I’ve got (multiple, in one case) copies of the other two, AND “Uhura’s Song” from the Star Trek original franchise. “Eyebrow on stun, Mr. Spock!”

Excellent! I tried getting her books from the library after you talked about her, but the only one they had was dusty and gave me allergy attacks when I tried to read it. One of the nice advantages of ebooks.

Yaaaay! (Kermit flail)
I have Mirabile and Uhura’s Song, but now I can get the others.
I’m usually not crazy about Baen cover art, but that’s a very fine Loch Moose Monster.

We just finished reading that story last night. The Loch Moose Monster should have antlers!

Perhaps it was the wrong time of year for antlers.

I wrote to her in 2007 to tell her about a Hellspark dream I’d had (it pertained to Scheveschke ceilings). She said that they were based on the far-too-low ceilings in a house that she and Ricky had visited.
It’s a Janet Kagan anecdote, and I’m sharing it, so there.

Oh, cool! Thanks for sharing that!

Yay! My Janet Kagans disappeared over the years, and e-book replacements sound like a great idea. (Three moves = one fire)

It’s… an interpretation?
However, if that’s supposed to be Annie and Leo in the boat, they’re way too young and Leo’s too pale.

Just wanted to say that I’ve enjoyed my re-reads of Kagan’s work. There’s been a story in the back of my head for a long time- it was a pleasant surprise to find it in the Collected Kagan. (It was the one about the unicorn and the porn shoot.)
